In the past, I have worked in the promotion of diverse forms of Editorial Materials, such as event programs and brochures. Also, every month, as part of my responsibilities as creative director for the Greater Stamford Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, I also supervise the periodic publication of the chamber’s monthly newsletter, all the publications are available in this link //
In my process of working on Editorial Design, I emphasize my energy on executing the message with clear, and precise use of typography; alongside with well chosen, accurate imagery, in order to reinforce the transmission of the idea. Always keeping in mind that it must be consistent with a corporate identity that has already been established. Once the project is explained and a copy of the text has been provided, I then begin my pre-production stage, which includes proofreading as the most essential part of my working process in Editorial Design. Once I absorb the content, I then roceed to asking questions, such as who is the targeted audience for which the Editorial piece is presented to. Proofreading is the most crucial aspect of Editorial Design, a well written text that is supported with an innovative, and yet clean, well balanced design, is not only functional, but it also becomes memorable. The other important factors I consider in working with Editorial Design, is to consider the vehicles for content, such as the highlight points of the text and chosen pictures as a means to present a cohesive presentation of the subject matter.

Why I do what I do?
I'm determined to maintain an imaginative vision along with a flexible and ethical attitude. Time continues teaching me how to be attentive to the essential aspects of the creative process, such as clear communication and dedication to detail. My goal is to never stop learning.
I’ve always been a very visual person, I can spend hours and hours looking through Art History books and wonder how -and why- certain things were done. For me, my education in Graphic Design was not completed on the day I received my BFA, the more I dig into the creative process the more I realize there is left to learn.
